On August 23, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited the Vanadzor sewing factory "Gloria." He was accompanied by Deputy Minister Narek Teryan and Lori Region Governor Aram Ghazaryan.
During the visit, the Minister toured the workshop, familiarized himself with the production processes, and reviewed the range of products.
Gloria is one of the largest textile companies in Armenia, with most of its products exported to Germany, Italy, Austria, France, and Russia. The factory fulfills orders for renowned companies such as Kübler, Betrancourt, KARINTIA, Birbaum-Proenen, CWS boco, DARBBAGS, and "City of Ladies and Gentlemen." Equipped with modern technologies and equipment, the factory produces clothing using complex techniques that adhere to European quality standards for various global brands. The company employs 2,615 people.
During the tour, several issues related to the development of the textile industry were discussed. The Minister highlighted the "Support to the Textile Industry of Armenia" program, which aims to develop a sustainable and inclusive textile sector. This initiative is one of the key strategic priorities for the country's economy.
