“Businessmen are the backbone of our economy, the stronger your positions are, the more the state will benefit.” Minister met with businessmen in Gyumri.

On February 7, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with a number of businessmen representing various sectors of the economy in Gyumri.

“We all have only one goal: to have strong economy which is the foundation for strong state, strong army, high-quality education, and prosperous future” the Minister noted.

Gevorg Papoyan presented to businessmen about two dozen state support programs and privileges implemented by the RA Ministry of Economy, particularly introducing the program for providing assistance to promote exports, the details of "Infrastructure for investment" assistance event, the privilege of exemption from customs duties, the state leasing toolkit, the content of the program for supporting the attraction of highly qualified specialists, and the general investment policy of the state.

“Businessmen are the backbone of our economy. The stronger your positions are, the more competitive your businesses are, the more the country's economy will benefit, workplaces will be created, infrastructures will be improved, and ultimately the economy will prosper.

This is the idea underlying our programs to help you in making all of our lives better," the minister emphasized.

Businessmen asked many questions to the minister, both about the implemented programs and other sectoral topics.

The Minister emphasized the importance of such meetings, noting that they provide a better opportunity to listen to the problems and proposals suggested by the businessmen, discuss them with accountable persons to find solutions, adding that they will be continuous.
