The Deputy Minister of Economy of RA Armen Arzumanyan visited the "Armenal" factory on August 17 to get acquainted with the activities and plans of the company.

Armen Arzumanyan, accompanied by the general director of the factory Artur Zakaryan, got acquainted with the territory of the company, studied the technological possibilities, production conditions and capabilities, development trends. Artur Zakaryan presented the main directions of the company's activity, the vision of development, implemented and planned programs, the possibilities of production expansion.

During the visit, the company's production potential and development opportunities, initiated works, as well as exports and related issues were discussed, in particular, the issues related to the export of products to the EU market in the conditions of termination of the "Generalized System of Preferences" (GSP+) provided by the EU, as well as the issues related to the export of products to the USA as a result of the anti-dumping duties by the USA.

The work carried out by the Ministry of Economy of RA in the direction of the revision of the status of the non-market economy of Armenia by the USA was highlighted.

At the same time, Deputy Minister A. Arzumanyan expressed his willingness to support the works carried out in the direction of the development of the  productivity of the factory, capacity building, as well as the production of new products.
