Rafayel Gevorgyan visited Tosp and Melante factories within the framework of Armenia's textile industry support project
The Deputy Minister of Economy Rafayel Gevorgyan visited Tosp and Melante factories within the framework of the Armenian Textile Industry Support Project. The purpose of the visit was to identify the existing problems in the field, to develop proposals on ways to increase the added value of textile products produced in Armenia, to make them more competitive.
Launched in January 2022, the RA Textile Industry Support Project is funded by the UK Government's Good Governance Fund, supported by the EBRD and coordinated by the Business Support Office.
The Ministry of Economy with involvement of the best expert group is developing a roadmap for the development of the sector with a detailed action plan and a Textile industry development strategy.
In order to make the discussions on further work more substantial, more than 20 companies operating in the textile industry are scheduled to be visited in February.
