On April 21, 2021, the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan and the President of the branch national union of labor organizations of agro-industrial sector employees of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Jhangiryan signed at the Ministry of Economy a memorandum of collaboration, the main goal of which is to jointly promote agricultural development.

Within the cooperation framework, it is envisaged to organize events, seminars, trainings, meetings aimed at representation and protection of interests of the sector’s employees, cooperation with relevant international organizations, other trade unions and foundations.

Prior to signing of the memorandum, a number of issues were discussed in relation to the culture of agricultural activity, development of production of agricultural goods and formation of markets, protection of labor and socio-economic rights and interests of the sector’s employees.

The Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan expressed hope that the cooperation envisaged by the memorandum will contribute to solution of a number of issues, including employment.

At the end of the event, the President of the branch national union of labor organizations of agro-industrial sector employees of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Jhangiryan thanked the Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan for the reception, hoping that the proposals and programs outlined during the meeting would be realized.
