On February 17, 2021, ARMENIA-HI TECH EVENT took place in Yerevan and within its framework the Iranian exhibition dedicated to high technologies and startups was held.
The event was attended by officials of executive agencies of Armenia and Iran, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, representatives of the public and private sector and non-governmental organizations of Armenia and Iran.
In his welcoming speech addressed to the participants of the event, the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan stressed the importance of such initiatives, particularly noting: “We must find the niches where the people of Iran and the people of Armenia can cooperate, create added value, and contribute to the joint progress, while it is not possible to achieve without establishing direct ties. The RA Ministry of Economy considers that visits of the Iranian delegations to Armenia and the visits of the Armenian delegations to Iran should be significantly intensified, so that we get to know each other better, find the niches where the Armenian and Iranian companies can cooperate”.
Avag Avanesyan toured around the exhibition pavilions, got acquainted with Iranian products, and talked to the participants.
The exhibition displayed various sectors of industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly those of energy, nanotechnology industry, medical equipment, information and telecommunication technologies, pharmaceuticals, construction industry, and others.
The exhibition was organized by the Export and Investment Center of Iran within the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund of the Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia. The delegation also included representatives of 60 public and private companies to have meetings on development of trade and economy with representatives of the public and private sector of Armenia.
