The Tourism Committee is inviting eligible businesses to submit applications to participate in the
DRV Business Forum

Background information:

The RA Tourism Committee in partnership with the Deutsche Reiseverband (DRV) will host the fvw DRV Destination Forum Armenia from 29th August – 3rd September 2021. DRV is the German Travel Association representing the interests of more than 4,000 members. The fvw DRV Destination Forum is Germany’s leading trade conference bringing a total of 70 participants from the German tourism industry to Armenia: including travel agents, media, airline and DRV representatives.

The goals of the Destination Forum are: to increase sustainable German inbound tourism to Armenia, to promote the destination among participants, to increase awareness of Armenia, to increase the ability of participants to sell Armenia and to enable networking possibilities for the Armenian tourism industry.

The event is implemented with the support of “Innovative Tourism and Technology Development for Armenia’’ (EU4Busines ITTD) project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The fvw DRV Destination Forum Armenia consists of the following:

• Part I: 29th August – 1st September
  Familiarization – Experience Armenia Tours
• Part II: 2nd September
  Business Forum with German and Armenian participants

The DRV Business Forum:
The Business Forum is an exclusive event, hosted by DRV. During the event there will be presentations, panel discussions and feedback sessions, covering relevant topics for the German and Armenian tourism industries and participating businesses. Furthermore, a dedicated networking session will be organized, where the participating Armenian businesses have the unique opportunity to engage with the German delegates face to face. This will be held in a speed dating format.

The RA Tourism Committee is inviting eligible businesses to submit applications to participate in the Business Forum.

Application start: 26th July 2021, 10:00 o’clock
Application deadline: 2nd August 2021, 18:00 o’clock

Participation cost: 60,000 AMD

Included in participation package:

• Participation of one representative at DRV Business Forum
• Participation of one representative at networking session
• Full catering during Business Forum (Coffee breaks and lunch)
• Exclusive invitation for one representative to the official farewell function

Eligibility criteria:

• Accommodation providers, tour operators/agencies, experiences/product
• Ability to work with the German trade (B2B distribution channels)
• European customers should be a target market for the respective business
• Experience in working with the German tourism sector is highly desirable
• Business has to be operating for a minimum of three years
• The business is not in the process of liquidation or bankruptcy
• The representative has to have a good command of either German or English language 

Additional Information:

• The location of the Business Forum is yet to be confirmed
• The agenda for the presentations, panel discussions and feedback sessions are yet to be announced by DRV
• The location of the subsequent farewell function is yet to be confirmed. The farewell function will be subsequent to the DRV Business Forum
• One representative per company (no exceptions), the ticket cannot be shared between different representatives of one company. One ticket/representative per business for the entire day
• Very strict COVID-19 safety measurements have to be followed

Administrative information:

• The communication/administrative part of this event will be managed by a DMC. The DMC is yet to be announced.
• The participation fee will be invoiced by and payable to the DMC

Announcement of successful applicants:

• The announcement of the status of applications will be made before 20th August 2021.
• The amount of participating businesses is limited.
