On January 23, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Tatevik Sargsyan, met with Akbar Ghamkhari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aria Doreen Middle East, and Mahmoud Tahmasebi, the company’s Executive Director.
The Iranian delegation is exploring opportunities to invest in Armenia's agricultural sector. As part of this initiative, they have developed a business project that includes plans to establish a 10-hectare greenhouse farm, a 10,000-ton refrigeration facility, and a livestock farm for breeding 5,000 head of cattle.
Tatevik Sargsyan emphasized that agriculture is a priority sector in Armenia, and the Ministry of Economy values every initiative aimed at its development.
The Deputy Minister also provided an overview of state support programs implemented by the Armenian government, which could be leveraged to facilitate the successful execution of the project.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the key aspects of the business project and the necessary steps for its implementation.
The company’s leaders additionally expressed interest in setting up a processing plant in Armenia for producing dried fruits and canned goods.
In conclusion, Tatevik Sargsyan affirmed her readiness to support the project’s implementation within the scope of her authority.
