The RA Government session took place

Before discussing the issues on the agenda, the Prime Minister referred to the recovery trends of economy and March 2021 indicators.

The RA Government approved the annual report on the implementation of the Republic of Armenia state budget 2020, which will be submitted to the National Assembly following the prescribed order. According to the report, in 2020 the state budget amounted to 1,560,655,340.8 thousand drams in terms of revenues, 1,894,647,093.4 thousand drams in terms of expenditures, whereby the budget deficit amounted to 333,991,752.6 thousand drams.

The executive approved the application submitted by the Private Entrepreneur “Garegin Hakobyan Norayel” to use the privilege of customs duties exemption within the framework of the investment program implemented in the priority sphere. The company will use its imported goods in tourism sector (RA Tavush Marz). Within the program framework, an investment of 4 million drams is envisaged and four new jobs will be created with an average salary of 70,000 drams. The total volume of products envisaged by the program will make 4 million drams, which will be fully sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The value of goods submitted to receive the privilege is 1 million drams. The customs duties exemption is estimated at 175,000 drams.

By the Government’s decision, “Dustr Marianna” LLC will also enjoy the privilege of customs duties exemption. The company will use its imported goods for production of cream butter (Yerevan). An investment of 2 billion drams has already been made for establishing a butter production factory. An investment of additional 24.8 billion drams is envisaged to purchase raw materials. Currently there are 347 jobs, whereby 30 new jobs are envisaged within the framework of the investment program with an average salary of 140,000 drams. The total volume of products envisaged by the program will make 24.8 billion drams, of which products worth 12.8 billion drams will be sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and 12 billion drams - in the territory of EEU member states. The value of goods submitted to receive the privilege is 24.8 billion drams. The customs duties exemption is estimated at 3.6 billion drams.
