On February 27, 2021, the RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan visited the Armenian-Italian ceramic tableware production company Ceramisia International LLC.
Accompanied by Federico Polidori, the Vice President of the Italian Stoneware Holding, the Minister of Economy toured the factory, got acquainted with the production capacity, and viewed samples of finished products intended for both general use (for example, restaurants) and demanding customers favoring ceramic tableware. Here, each piece of the tableware is unique, and due to the special technology it is distinguished by its strength and durability, as well as is ecologically clean and produced exclusively for food.
The factory is equipped with the most up-to-date Italian equipment, which is unique to not only neighboring countries, but also European countries. The factory staff is trained either in Italy or in Armenia by specialists who received training in Italy. “Ceramisia” is more of a workshop at a size of a large factory, where skilled professionals create their pieces of work with care. The main workers are representatives of the fine arts: painters, sculptors, ceramists, and potters. Most of the production is handmade. The company’s products are exported to Russia and the USA. There are many orders from companies representing well-known brands.
Due to the pandemic, the process of the company’s development programs has slowed down to a certain extent, but there is hope that in near future it will become possible to expand the volumes for both production and exportation market. Currently, the number of jobs in the company is 300. There is an intention to build three small factories in the regions of Armenia, with a total of 100-150 jobs, and open eight stores in Armenia and abroad.
The Armenian-Italian company “Ceramisia International” opened in November 2019 sells its products under the label “Designed in Italy, Made in Armenia”.
