The RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan held a meeting at the Ministry with the representatives of a number of consulting companies to discuss problems existing in the investment sector and find possible solutions. The Deputy Minister Avag Avanesyan also took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, a number of issues were covered, such as the state policy in the investment sector, improvement of the investment environment, provision of more favorable conditions for investors, improvement of the legislative framework, promotion of new investments in the economy, and the possibility of advanced international investment practices being applied in Armenia.

The participants of the meeting presented the main obstacles to the development of the investment sector, which include a number of issues that require institutional solutions and relate to close cooperation with state authorities.

Emphasizing the importance of inventorying the existing problems of the sector and finding quick solutions, the RA Minister of Economy expressed readiness to thoroughly study all issues raised and the proposals voiced for solution thereof.

An agreement was reached to periodically organize such events, when problems encountered by consulting companies in the area of development and implementation of investment programs will be identified and discussed with stakeholders.
