On February 4, 2021, the RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan received the delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopirkin to discuss the process and prospects of the Armenian-Russian trade and economic cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan and the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Armenia Anna Donchenko.
“Armenia’s collaboration with Russia is developing successfully, yet there is a potential for enhancing it. Currently, we plan to develop a multi-vector agenda of cooperation with Russia and I hope it will contribute to closer economic ties between our countries”, said Vahan Kerobyan in his welcoming speech addressed to the guests.
Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin, in his turn, stressed that economy is one of the leading areas of bilateral cooperation, and it is time to think about strengthening and intensifying the economic ties between the two countries, which will be facilitated by attracting new investments.
Sharing the Ambassador’s viewpoint, Vahan Kerobyan stressed the importance of creating business financing infrastructure in Armenia.
Afterwards, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest related to the Armenian-Russian economic cooperation.
