On 24 July Artsakh Republic President Arayik Harutyunyan received the delegation headed by minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan.
In his remarks, the President of the republic noted that, having at the basis of cooperation the potential and prospects for the development of the economies of the two Armenian republics, in future plans it is an imperative to focus attention on the tasks of food supply and security.
The Head of the State emphasized that the recent developments in the world economy, consequences resulted from the novel coronavirus and regional challenges leave no alternative in that regard, especially, that both Artsakh and Armenia have a large unrealized agricultural potential.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Minister Khachatryan stressed that he is well aware of the importance of the afore-mentioned issues and the shortage of time. He underlined that the main directions that will allow to ensure efficiently the defined results are being deliberated with partners in Artsakh. According to the Minister, within this context, the existing resources and factors providing comparative advantages are considered for ensuring maximum efficiency.
A wide range of issues on economic preferences and harmonizing all tools used for supporting the economic entities by the two governments were also discussed during the meeting.
Artsakh Republic Minister of Economy and Industrial Infrastructures Levon Grigoryan and Minister of Agriculture Ashot Bakshiyan attended the meeting.
