On August 13, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Oksana Lut, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The two ministers discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.
They addressed the lifting of existing restrictions on the supply of products by Armenian businesses to Russia and their transit through Russian territory to third countries, as well as the application of additional control measures.
An agreement was reached to strengthen cooperation between Armenia’s Food Safety Inspection Body and Rosselkhoznadzor (the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance).
Minister Papoyan emphasized that constructive dialogue on the existing issues and the search for mutually acceptable solutions are essential for the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
