Also present at the ceremony were Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade, Seyed Mohammad Atabak; Deputy Minister Narek Hovakimyan; RA Trade Attaché in Iran, Vardan Kostanyan; Narek Babayan, Member of the National Assembly and the RA-Iran Friendship Group; as well as Iranian and Armenian business leaders and industrial center heads.
This trade center, the first and largest permanent Iranian trade center abroad, was established with funding from the Iranian side.
“Armenia places great importance on its cooperation with Iran and appreciates its economic presence here. The opening of this center marks another key step forward in the development of economic and trade relations between our friendly countries,” stated Minister Papoyan.
Spanning approximately 18,000 square meters, the trade center houses over 100 Iranian companies. Consumers and business partners can purchase Iranian goods directly from manufacturers. The facility includes 107 exhibition booths of varying sizes, a conference hall for B2B meetings, and an open area for events and festivals.
The trade center’s opening is expected to significantly enhance trade levels between Armenia and Iran and to strengthen business relations between the two nations.
